On frozen Saturday morning our U-19 team started its season with a victory in Mladá Boleslav. Home team finished autumn as the second team of the league, but our youngsters put on a valorous performance and got back home with well deserved victory.

Coach of Czech U-19 national team Jaroslav Hřebík announced his nomination for the friendly match against Sweden which will be played on Tuesday the 2nd of March 2010.

An interesting confrontation between clubs from second league in the Czech Republic and Denmark showed that our team is getting ready for the season. In spite of effort of players from Denmark our team controlled the ball for most of the time.

Tonight we play a Danish first league club Herfølge. Then on Saturday we play against Arsenal Česká Lípa and just a week later we will open the season against Viktoria Žižkov in Prague.

On Sunday 14.02. our friend and former coach of FK Baník Most Jorge Anon will celebrate his 49th birthday. Happy birthday to you Jorge!

Czech champion from last two years Slavia Prague played its first match of the training camp in Maspalomas (Canary Islands) against Spanish second league team U.D. Las Palmas. Kevin Lafrance who transferred to Slavia from FK Baník Most played 90 minutes as a right center-back. Slavia won the match 1:0.

Forward Gevorg Badalyan who plays for FKBM U-19 team represented his country Armenia in European Championship Qualification Group U-19 in Austria where Gevorg played against Austria, Romania and Scotland and scored one goal.

Slavia Prague, a champion of the Czech Republic from two previous seasons and a club with experiences from the Champions League and from the European League, has invited our center-back Kevin La France to join its team at the pre-season. We will continuously inform about further development.

The second season in a new competition is usually more difficult to handle then the first one. Last year our U-19 team finished at the middle of the table in its first ever season in the top Czech U-19 league.

On the way from a winter conditioning camp we stopped in Mlada Boleslav and arrived home with a sweet 2 – 0 win beating one of top teams in Czech football. You may say just a pre-season, but teams had just finished their conditioning week and players on both sides were hungry to show some football. We did and deserved to win this encounter.
